o0 SandmaN 0o: there is a pond near where I live, and I've been told that about 40 years ago it used to be only a small, grassy field. But there are fish in it. How do they get there?

DraKaAlchemy: Like if there is an ocean nearby; the wind will pick up some meroplankton; which is kind of fish.
DraKaAlchemy: Also, amphibians can act as a carrier of larvae.
